To begin with, let's get the product admin out of the way. Enter the name of the product, the product ID and product Category. These key details are vital to the creation of the Spec. Whilst they seem tedious, it is important that you input them correctly.
Upload your Images
Add any images that show how your product should be made. This can be reference images, technical drawings, photos of your previous samples or anything you feel will convey your ideas best to your manufacturing partner for them to produce for you.
Add your Materials & Trims
And all of the components for your product in the Bill of Materials. This should include materials and trims that go into the make up of your product - from the core material to the stitching color and embellishments, like rivets or custom labels.
Next the Measurements
Measurements are the difference between a wallet fitting in your pocket and having to carry it around like a portfolio. This simple tool allows you to add as many measurements as you like to give a comprehensive view of your product. If you make a mistake simply hit the rest button to remove that measurement and continue.
Preview and Download
Once you've completed the spec you can preview it in the final form, this way you can make any changes necesary before sending it to print. Once you've given it the once over and it's perfect, download it as a PDF to print or send it directly to your manufacturer.
Once you've received your first sample you can add revisions. A revision tells a manufacturer where you want to change or tweak parts of the product that you feel could be improved. Add an image to better illustrate your wishes to your manufacturer.
